The foundation of Career Mode in EA FC 25 remains unchanged. You start your adventure as a manager or player. You do this with an existing or a new club that you can create yourself. After that, you are responsible for your club's performance, trying to win as many trophies as possible, develop players, and implement winning strategies.
This year, the developers are giving players more freedom when playing the EA FC 25 Career Mode. The new features give you control over how you approach the adventure. Let's take a quick look at the key new features.
Live Start Points and FC IQ in EA FC 25 Career Mode
The biggest change this year in EA FC 25 Career Mode is the introduction of Live Start Points. These allow you to manage or play at teams that are impacted by real world events. You can either opt for this for the whole season, or start from a snapshot from any period during the football year.
As for FC IQ, we have written a whole article about EA FC 25 FC IQ Custom Tactics, which will also impact EA FC 25 Career Mode. We recommend checking out our article on that.
Women in EA FC 25 Career Mode and new UI
In EA FC 25, EA Sports introduces the top five women leagues to the manager and player career modes. Managers will be able to move between man and women teams.
EA FC 25 also introduces a new simplified UI, making it easier for starting players to get into career mode. On top of that, they also added suggestions made by the game itself, on what to do next. See it as a priority to-do list.
EA FC 25 Coaches
We all know the coaching staff can make or break a team's performance. So last year in EA FC 24 Career Mode, EA introduced coaches who can support your managerial career. You can buy coaches on the Coach Market, which shows you their knowledge level, skills in different fields such as attacking, defending, and goalkeeping, and their salary.
The coaches will have a huge impact on how your team learns new tactics, and how your players develop. They will also give bonuses to players, depending on the coach's skill and the player's position. A midfielder will need a coach whose skills are specifically good at training midfielders.
Training Plans, Pre-Match Reports & Match Ready Training
Match preparation is one of the most important things for a football player. That is why EA Sports has redesigned training plans to make them more accessible and easier to navigate. These training plans will determine a player's fitness and sharpness during a game. EA recommends you check them frequently to get the full potential of each player on the pitch.
Pre-Match Reports is a new way EA Sports introduces to analyze your opponents and see how they play. This allows managers to tweak tactics that specifically work against, let's say, Liverpool.
Match Ready Training supplements the Pre-Match Reports. They allow your players to train scenarios that work well against a certain opponent. Does their team like to park the bus? Then you might want to train on specific passes that can break or pass their backline formation. This will increase their performance on the pitch, and you can see the difference after they have trained.
EA FC 25 Spectating as a coach
In EA FC 25 Career Mode you can watch the game as a coach on the sidelines. This means you will feel more connected with your players and what's going on on the pitch. Last but not least, you will feel more like a coach than ever before. And who wouldn't want to be the next Guardiola or Ten Hag?
EA FC 25 Player Agent
Let's get to the changes in EA FC 25's Player Career. First off, each player now has a Player Agent. You can tell them what team you'd like to play, and they will tell you how to get there. These Player Agents will give you clear objectives you can work on, and eventually what targets you want to hit. In the end, if you make it that far, you'll be able to play for your dream club.
Let's say you are a striker and you want to play for Paris Saint Germain. What would you have to do to get there? That might mean you have to do several successful dribbles, inside-the-box goals, and shots on goal.
EA FC 25 Play Styles redesign
Unlike previous years, EA has made player personalities a key aspect of Player Career in EA FC 25 Career Mode. Each personality tier unlocks a new play style that you will be able to use. Get to the top tier of a personality, and you can unlock a play style plus. Simply meaning, one of your signature moves will become world-class. You will learn to dribble like Messi or shoot like Valverde.
More EA FC 25 celebrations
This might not be the most exciting feature, but we feel like it's worth mentioning. EA has added a lot more so-called dynamic events, from the Ballon d'Or Gala to traveling with a club bus through the city after a won championship. Everything is in order to let the player feel more immersed during EA FC 25's Career Mode.
More EA FC 25
EA Sports FC 25 is the newest game from developer EA, and the first one bearing the new name after EA and FIFA could not come to an agreement. We do not expect the game to change fundamentally, but obviously, this will change in terms of support and how you would go about searching.
