The FIFA 23 season has begun! That means you can determine what your first team(s) will look like. To help you on your way, we have listed the best starter teams in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team for you. Take them, use them as inspiration and add your personal touch!
FIFA Ultimate Team has been the most popular game mode within EA Sports' football game for years. The developer knows how to link the virtual and the real football world, which is appreciated.
Starter Team #1
The first starter team we cover consists of a mix of the Eredivisie and the Bundesliga. The team is inexpensive and can even obtained by only using the FIFA 23 Web App and Companion App. Although this team may be cheap, it still has some outstanding players. Cody Gakpo, Donyell Malen and Noni Madueke, and the central attacking midfielder Kudus, offer you a lot of speed in attack. The midfield is formed by two defensive midfielders, namely Sangare and Özcan.
Above all, the flank defenders must have speed with solid defensive statistics. Owen Wijndal and Jeremy Frimpong have that. Timber has excellent speed again this year, with which he compensates for the slightly slower Schlotterbeck. On the goal, Kobel should be able to get the job done.
This team can be used in different formations. Think of the offensive 4-3-3 and the 4-2-3-1 formations.
Starter Team #2
The second starter team is more expensive and better than the first team we covered. Each position has a slightly better player or a player who plays in a better league. Lucas Paqueta also gives you an extra option to play in a somewhat narrower formation, such as a 4-1-2-1-2(2). Uribe and Fernandez are good all-round midfielders and can handle the first few days very well.
You have a lot of speed on the flanks with Luis Sinistera and Rafa Silva. This is also the case with fullbacks Kieran Tierney and Alexander Bah. Diego Carlos and Lucas Verissimo also have excellent starter team cards.
Starter Team #3
You don't need a big budget for the first two starter teams we covered. On the other hand, option three is the most expensive of the three, but without a doubt, achievable in the first days of your FIFA 23 adventure.
Sane, Diaby and Werner give you a lot of speed in the attack (by the way, if you have some coins left, you can exchange Sane for Coman since he has five-star skill moves).
The midfield consists of two offensively oriented midfielders and a controller behind them. Lemar and Fekir have good offensive stats, and Tchouaméni can quickly stop an opponent's attack with physical strength.
The defense in this team is also excellent. Jordi Alba and Marcos Llorente both have enough speed and defensive stats to keep up with fast-wingers. Upamecano and Hernandez are both fast centre-backs with good defensive and physical stats.
