Streaming EA FC 24 on YouTube or Twitch? Get this!

Livestreaming has been on the rise since 2011 with the launch of Twitch and is one of the most popular forms of entertainment nowadays. The biggest driver of it all is gaming, including FIFA. But what if you want to start live streaming EA FC 24 on Twitch yourself? What do you need? We help you find the right gear to begin your broadcasting journey.

First of all, it's crucial to recognize that to be able to livestream requires more than just a PlayStation 5 or Xbox. You will need a streaming pc, streaming software, a Twitch or YouTube account, a proper microphone, and last but not least a capture card. It can be overwhelming, but once settled you will find it is not that hard. Let us dive into each component.

Streaming PC: OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop

For a streaming PC, we recommend a streaming pc by one of our official partners: the Omen by HP 45L Gaming Desktop. It is a high-end streaming and gaming pc that can handle the workload required by a high-end stream. Below you'll find the exact specifications.

  • CPU: Intel i7 12700K (water-cooled by a 240mm radiator)

  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti

  • Memory: 32 GB HyperX 3733 Mhz

  • Storage: 2 TB (two drives of 1 TB)

  • PSU: 800 watt

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Home

The processor and graphics card are sufficient for a livestream of any quality, even at 1080p and 60 FPS. Next to that, it can also handle any PC game you throw at it. So it can be more than just your streaming PC.

Microphone: HyperX QuadCast or ProCast

When it comes to microphones, the most important is their quality. Bad microphone quality can drive viewers away and could cause a negative viewing experience. We have two recommendations, both from HyperX. First, there is the HyperX QuadCast. This USB microphone is perfect for content creators, streamers, and gamers. It comes with an internal pop filter, a tap-to-mute button, a headphone jack (to test your quality), a gain control button, and a mount including a shock mount. With a retail price of 100 euros/110 dollars, it is an absolute steal. More importantly, the microphone quality is outstanding, making this one of the best deals.

A tier above that is the HyperX ProCast. This professional microphone uses XLR, which makes it inconvenient for most beginner streamers. XLR input and outputs are generally used in the professional music and recording scene and need to be connected to a mixer before connecting to a PC. It gives users way more freedom in how their audio is managed and adjusted, but comes with extra costs and requires more knowledge. Therefore we only recommend it to streamers who like to double down on their audio quality, or streamers who also record music or sing. The ProCast is available for 300 euros/250 dollars.

Capture Card: Elgato HD60 X or 4K 60 Pro

When it comes to capture cards, we highly recommend the Elgato HD60 (external) or 4k 60 Pro (internal). We will leave choosing between an external or internal capture card up to you, external will feel more plug and play while internal leaves less mess on your desk and generally give fewer issues. Although that difference is minor.

The main function of a capture card is to capture gameplay footage from your PlayStation 5 or Xbox and forward it to your computer. The only real technical difference between newer capture cards and older ones is the maximum quality of which they can capture footage. Both models we have named here can go up to 4k with 60 fps. And while we do not recommend broadcasting in 4k yet, it is a nice feature to have and ensures you are future-proof.

Streaming software: OBS and Streamlabs

In terms of streaming software, there are two flavors: OBS and Streamlabs. We generally recommend OBS, however, you'll find Streamlabs to be more beginner friendly. The consensus is that OBS gives you more freedom and options in how you want to set up your stream, in terms of overlays, settings, delays, etc. Streamlabs takes away some of these options but is easier to use and understand and use. In any case, whatever you go for, it won't be a wrong choice.

Where do I stream? YouTube or Twitch?

The first thing you should ask yourself if you want to stream: do you already have a big YouTube channel? Or do you want to diversify to a different platform? Overall, it is easier for a small streamer to begin on Twitch. The reason for that is that, well, first of all, Twitch is the biggest livestreaming platform in the world. Secondly, Twitch has an easier time promoting small streamers to their discovery page. As you can imagine, Google/YouTube has way more small timers, and thus it's harder to get noticed. However, what do you do if you already have a big YouTube channel? Well, there are two factors to consider here. Do you want to diversify? Then we would recommend going for Twitch and trying to build an audience there. That way you can funnel that audience to YouTube and vice versa. If you are however interested in getting more engagement on YouTube, then streaming on that platform makes more sense.
