EA FC 24 X pass

The first pass is, of course, the standard pass. You perform this pass by simply pressing the X-button for PlayStation or the A-button for Xbox. As the name indicates, this is your standard passing option, and you will use it most. It's easy, versatile, and quick to use. It enables you to make quick combinations and move the ball around fast.

But of course, it's a little bit plain. However, you can use the pass button in combination with other buttons to perform other types of passes, which you can use in different combinations.

EA FC 24 Pass and Go (L1)

The last pass you will need is the L1 pass. This one is very different from the rest, as the pass itself isn't special, but what happens next is. You perform this pass by holding L1 for PlayStation or LB for Xbox and pressing the pass button.

When you use this pass, the player you perform it with will start a run after passing it to a teammate. This will make it easier for you to make a combination and create a dangerous attack.

Practice on all these passes and combine them in your play. You will be able to create effective and dangerous attacks on which your opponent will have no answer.

EA FC 24 Through ball

The through ball is the first special pass you could use to spice up your game. You perform the through ball by pressing the PlayStation triangle button or the Xbox Y-button.

Like the standard pass, the through ball is pretty basic and doesn't require a lot of practice to use effectively. But you must remember to use the through ball correctly; another player must be running to receive it. Another thing to keep in mind when using the through ball is timing. You want to play the through ball as late as possible, so be careful of the offside.

The through ball is great at exploiting the space behind your opponent's defense or if you find yourself in a counter-attacking situation. Like the standard pass, combining the through ball with other buttons to perform different types of passes is possible.

EA FC 24 R1+X pass

The next pass is the R1+X pass (or RB+A for Xbox). This pass is a stronger version of the standard pass, and as the name suggests, you perform it by holding R1 for PlayStation or RB for Xbox and pressing the pass button.

This pass is great to quicken your attack. It provides your attacks with a surprising amount of speed, which will be hard for your opponents to deal with. Like the through ball, the R1+X pass is excellent when you are in a counter-attacking situation and catches your opponent off guard. But another way to utilize this pass with great effect is when you're on the line and want to cut back in front of the goal. The sheer speed of the pass will make it almost impossible to intercept.

EA FC 24 L1+R1 Triangle

Next up is the new pass of EA FC24: the L1+R1 triangle. This variant of the through ball places the ball precisely in front of the receiving player's feet. This will give you more control at your first touch, which provides you with more options.

However, there is one more thing special about this pass. Because depending on the situation, this pass will also curve. This means you can pass the ball with great accuracy to the players running deep.

You perform this pass by holding L1+R1 for PlayStation or LB+RB for Xbox and pressing the through-ball button.

EA FC 24 L1 Triangle

Another variant of the through ball is the L1 triangle or high through ball. You perform this pass by holding L1 for PlayStation or LB for Xbox and pressing the through ball button.

This pass is pretty straightforward. It's the through ball but played through the air. The L1 triangle effectively exploits the space behind your opponent's defense, particularly the fullbacks. The moment you see your opponent step forward with one of his defenders, you can choose to utilize the high through ball and use the space he has just given you.

Like the through ball, it is important to keep an eye on the timing and watch out for offside.

EA FC 24 R1 Triangle

Another feature introduced in EA FC 24 is the last through ball variant: the R1 triangle or position through ball. You perform this pass by holding R1 for PlayStation or RB for Xbox and pressing the through ball button.

This pass enables you to ensure the ball will go exactly to the player you want it to go. In addition, it also ensures that the player that will receive the ball will be aware the ball will get played to him and become more active before you even play it.

This pass is not only great for attacking but also for slowly building up your attack. Your players will be more active if you play these passes.

EA FC 24 Double Tap (Lofted Pass)

Another pass is the Double Tap pass, or officially called the Lofted Pass. You can perform this by double tapping the pass button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox). The pass is most effected when passing to a player in the box. Another option you have is the Lofted Through Ball Pass, performed by double tapping Triangle on PlayStation and Y on Xbox.
