How does the EA FC 25 eChampions League work?
The eChampions League, much like the physical variant, is the most prestigious EA FC 25 tournament in Europe. It brings together the 36 best players from each country to Manchester (knock-out phase) and Munich (eChampions League finals).
The following leagues are represented:
4 Seats Each:
ePremier League (UK)
KPN eDivisie (Netherlands)
LALIGA FC Pro (Spain)
Virtual Bundesliga (Germany)
eLigue 1 McDonald's (France)
eSerie A Goleador (Italy).
Additional Seats:
eLiga Portugal (Portugal): 2 seats
Other European nations: 1 seat each (ten in total).
The knock-out phase in Manchester works much like the regular Champions League. Each player plays six matches against six different opponents. In total, 24 players advance. The top 8 advances directly to the round of 16. The other sixteen players face each other in a play-off round, where only eight will advance. The format will be a single-elimination bracket.
The finals will be played in Munich, where the 16 best players will face off.
Our take on EA FC 25 eChampions League
As said, four Team Gullit players are entering the eChampions League this year: Emre Yilmaz, Levi de Weerd, Gabriel "Young" Freitas, and Chris de Boer. So what do they think?
Emre Yilmaz: "I see myself as a potential winner this year. Mentally, I'm stronger than I was two years ago when I won the eChampions League in FIFA 23. Gameplay-wise, well, we'll have to see."
Levi de Weerd: "The goal is to get top 8 in Manchester and go straight to the finals in Munich. I think that is a realistic goal for me. It's one of the year's biggest tournaments, so of course I'm very much looking forward to the eChampions League."
Chris de Boer: "I am not a favourite, but at my current level and form, I can be one of the tournament's surprises. Given that I reached the finals in the Dutch eDivisie and won the EA FC Pro Cup in December last year."
